Announcing
the New
Blount County Humane Society's
All
Creatures
Thrift Store
 
That's
right, our long awaited All Creatures
Thrift Store will soon be a reality. We are
planning the Grand Opening sometime in the Spring of 2008 and EVERYONE
(including pets)
will be invited to the PARTY.
We are in the demolition and remodeling phase right now
and we will need a lot of help getting our 8000 sq. ft.
building ready to open. If you have special building
skills such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing or just
want to help please contact us and let us know.

Our new Thrift Store is a big step for us on the path to
achieving our No Kill Shelter.
It will provide significant funding towards
building the Humane Society facilities. Once we get our
shelter built the Thrift Store will provide funding for
our many
programs to help animals.
The Thrift Store is one of the ways we will become a
self sufficient organization. With revenues from the
Thrift Store, Recycling Saves Lives Campaign,
Bark-N-Purr Club
and other fundraising
programs, and generous donations from the public that
would like to see a No Kill Shelter in Blount County, we
will be able to accomplish all our dreams and goals.
But first we have to get the Thrift Store
up and running and to do this we will need
your help. We will need donations of labor, building
materials, cash as well as in kind donations from
people and company's in the building trades industry.
Below is a list
of materials we need for our Thrift Store Project. If
you would like to purchase some of these items or if you
have them laying around please give us a call.
Another
way to help is to purchase a Lowe's Gift Card like the
one listed below. Just leave it at the Lowe's Service
Desk (Maryville Only) and they
will let us know it's there. Thank You!
