Special Needs Animals

EBONY
Special Needs Animals are Dogs, Cats or Horses that need more than just the basic
Vet care to get adopted into their Forever Home.
They may have a broken paw or have a disease that
needs special care. These are animals you can't just
ignore as Animal Lovers but you don't have funds in
the budget for the special care they need. This is
where YOU can help.
Please donate to help our Special Needs Animals
Read the story
below about a very special Special Needs Animal
Ebony is a little girl who was in a horrible car
accident. A nice man rescued her and rushed her to
the Vet. She lost her left eye and had a fractured
jaw. She had to have extensive Vet care at Village
Vet to save her life and repair her injuries. Now
she needs a loving Furever Home. Call 742-3070
As you can
imagine Ebony's Vet care cost is way above what her
adoption fee will be. If you would like to
contribute to her Vet bill please either
drop by Village Vet or send a check to them Via
Snail Mail. You can also call Village Vet and make a
contribution with your credit card.
Even when we aren't caring for special needs
critters, which isn't very often, we usually have a
pretty extensive account balance at our Vet. If you
like you can make a contribution towards our balance
at any time. Make sure you reference the Blount
County Humane
Society in any correspondence. Your donation will
help us tremendously, will be much appreciated and
is tax deductible. Thank You

Other Special Needs Critters

Wolfie
Wolfie is a
2 year old Wolf/Dog Hybrid that came to us through
an Animal Cruelty Investigation where he was tied up
to a tree and forgotten. He was lucky to get water
when it rained. He was near to death when we rescued
him. The first time we put food and water in front
of him he drank all the water before he even sniffed
the food because he was so dehydrated. He only
weighed 42 lbs when he should have weighed 80 to
100lbs. He had been tied up and neglected so long
his chain had grown into his neck and was very
painful. Even with all Wolfie has been through he
has a wonderful and loving spirit. Just like any
other Pack Animal he just want to be a part of the
Pack. I'm glad we found him when we did. He deserves
a chance at life and to be a part of a family that
cares for him.
Wolfie
is progressing
well physcically and has gained 10 lbs since his
rescue. When Wolfie is totally better he will need a
special home where his people understand his special
needs as a Wolf Hybrid. If you would like to apply
to give Wolfie that special home please give us a
call...865-742-3070
