$5 FRIDAYS... Cash the cat deserves a new lease on life

Each friday we ask our wonderful, compassionate friends and fans to donate $5 to the incredible life saving work that we are doing each and every day.

For this weeks $5 Friday we are featuring this gentle boy, Cash. He ended up at the city shelter after being hit by a car, they released him to us immediately due to the exent of his injuries. After being evaluated by our vet it has been determined that Cash has a fractured pelvis and a luxated joint. At this time Cash is unable to stand or walk and will likely need FHO surgery and extensive rehabilitation care. However his prognosis of recovery is high, and the vet expects he may enjoy a peaceful life as an indoor only cat in a single level home.

We are asking all of our friends and fans to donate just $5 today to help Cash get through his rehabilitation and onto his next chapter in life. He is so loving and sweet, and so much deserves to feel the love and compassion of having a home of his own with people who love him.

$5 FRIDAYS HELPS SAVE SHELTER PETS... $5 Dollar Fridays is a new tradition of the Blount County Humane Society designed to help us save more lives. Since April 15 we have saved over 300 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens from our local municipal city shelter that were destined for death by fostering or publicizing them on our FB page. It is no surprise to anyone that saving animals is an expensive endeavor with vet costs, food, supplies and TLC but it is an endeavor that is well worth the expense. This is where YOU come in... We are asking our dedicated fans to donate $5 every Friday, now that's a habit thats worth getting hooked on. It's easy... just follow the  link and donate...
